The amount of dental insurance coverage you receive can vary significantly based on the specific treatment you’re undergoing, as well as the terms set by your plan and provider. You may be able to get some treatments fully covered, while receiving no coverage at all for other treatments.

Dental insurance is by no means a requirement to get treatment at our practice. It’s merely a financial convenience that helps many patients reduce their overall cost of treatment. If you’re able to pay for your treatment without insurance, Dr. Shlafer will be happy to take care of you. Getting approved for CareCredit is a fast and easy process. You can apply online through their website, or over the phone. The automated system will let you know if you’re approved immediately without the hassle of extra paperwork or additional fees.
Keep in mind that you must be at least 18 years old to apply online, and at least 21 years old to apply by phone.
Yes! CareCredit is a patient financing program that offers interest-free payment plans within a 24-month payment window. This allows you to reduce the financial burden of your dental treatment without digging yourself into a hole.
As long as you keep up with your minimum monthly payments and cover the full amount by the end of your payment window, you won’t be charged any interest. If you’d prefer more time, low-interest plans are also available with payment windows ranging up to 60 months.
