Dr. Lidia Ickes is thrilled to return to the office of Dr. Shlafer—a place that holds a special place in her heart. Long before she became a dentist herself, Dr. Ickes was a young patient in this very office. Here, her love and appreciation for dentistry blossomed and positive experiences helped shape her appreciation for compassionate, personalized dental care.
Today, she is honored to join the practice as a dentist and bring that same sense of warmth and trust to her patients. After 18 years of being a dentist, Dr. Ickes believes that dentistry is about much more than healthy teeth—it is about building relationships, creating comfortable experiences, and helping patients feel confident in their smiles.
Dr. Lidia Ickes earned her dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry and has a passion for comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry. She is committed to staying current with advances in the dental field and providing thoughtful, individualized care for patients of all ages.
Returning to the office where she once sat in the dental chair as a child makes this next chapter especially meaningful. She looks forward to creating the same kind of positive experiences for the next generation of patients—and is grateful for the opportunity to care for the community that helped inspire her journey.
